Jodi practices immigration law on the border in Harlingen, Texas. For 25 years she’s represented thousands of asylum seekers, economic migrants, and United States citizens in immigration and nationality matters. Jodi has a deep belief in volunteerism and frequently devotes her time to community and pro bono projects as well as teaching. In 2019 she was awarded the AILA Michael Maggio Memorial Pro Bono Award for her efforts in providing pro bono representation. She is a recognized Texas Super Lawyer and Best Lawyer in America. Jodie has been on the frontlines of ‘Family Separation’ and is currently spearheading representation efforts for refugees stranded in Matamoros, Mexico under the Migrant Protection (MPP) Protocol also known as the ‘Remain in Mexico’ initiative.
