A Call to Action, Not Retreat

Jeffrey O'Brien

The future of immigration in the United States remains uncertain. Still, we can take President-Elect Donald Trump at his word when he promises mass deportations on an unprecedented scale—a message that he has consistently delivered over the years. Yet we must remember one thing.

The election results are not a reason to retreat but a call to advance.

If these plans come to fruition, families will undoubtedly be torn apart: husbands separated from wives, siblings from one another, and children from their parents. Entire communities, friendships, and the fabric of society will be irrevocably changed—all in pursuit of a political objective.

Elections have consequences, and this is one of them.

Despite these challenges, Mobile Pathways remains steadfast in its mission: to empower immigrants by helping them navigate their legal options for remaining in the United States. As documented here, we stand ready to meet the moment as we have been preparing for this outcome for months.

Our collective efforts are a nonpartisan endeavor grounded in the laws of the United States.

We leverage cutting-edge technology to advance our mission, ensuring that any immigrant who needs guidance has access to tools, services, and information that give them a fair chance to understand and exercise their legal rights.

Supreme Court Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. once said,

"We must meet the challenge rather than wish it were not before us."
